Black and White Wedding at The Madison Hotel

Happy FOUR year anniversary to this amazing couple! You can probably tell from the photos, but just so you know, Lisa and Elem are an absolute blast. They’re fun, funny, lively, welcoming, and so incredibly sweet. As a wedding photographer, it’s always amazing when I don’t feel like just another vendor. I felt like I was really celebrating with them! (Oh also, I kid you not, we got served the most delicious appetizers during cocktail hour that my second shooter, assistant, and I can still tell you about it ’til this day).

I can still vividly remember so many details from this beautiful day. The wedding party was elegantly dressed in all white (bridesmaids) and all black (groomsmen). The ladies started their day in all black satin pajamas which was such a fun twist on the typical bridesmaid getting ready robes. Their black and white theme was perfect for the Madison Hotel in Morristown, New Jersey. The neutral exterior made for an elegant backdrop for formal photos and the conservatory truly speaks for itself – it’s STUNNING. The natural light flooding through the windows during the ceremony is a photographer’s dream! And the plants! Just gorgeous.

You can see Lisa and Elem beaming with love and joy during the ceremony. It was emotional and filled with laughter as their vows were not only inspiring but also entertaining. And the entertainment did not stop! Have you ever seen a groom be his own MC? I use this word a lot, but it really was epic. Elem introduced the entire wedding party and then each person had their own quick dance solo. It was so much fun!

The night went on with lots of dancing, laughter, and a whole lot of love. They were surrounded by people who love and support them and that’s really what a wedding celebration is all about. It was pure joy. I say it all the time, but what a privilege to be a part of these moments. Forever grateful <3
