Personal

A little grace..

July 12, 2015

It’s been weeks (almost months!!) that I haven’t shared on this little online home of mine. I’m embarrassed at my inconsistency. I want to list all of my excuses and go on and on explaining my inactivity, but i’m constantly learning (and re-learning) the importance of giving yourself a little grace. Not everything is going to be perfect, and not everything needs to look perfect.

I’m learning.

I have so much to share on this page, but the honest truth is that I’m not really happy with it. I don’t feel as though this online presence is reflective of who I truly am, and I sometimes feel like a fraud trying to keep appearances. So here’s to being real. I’m in the process of updating the entire site and the entire Fabiane Photography brand as a whole, but it’s been a pretty slow process.  Regardless, I’ve decided to give myself grace through it all. Being so silent on the blog is very bad for the business – yes that’s very true – but living authentically is what I truly desire and I want the brand to represent authenticity as well. So, dear friends, near and far…I will probably be silent for a little bit longer, but hopefully, in due time, I can share more of myself and the beautiful people I have the privilege of working with in a better way — a way that reflects my passion for photography, people, and love while still reflecting me.

Lots of love,

Fabiane

My little brother took this photo while we were in Oregon. It's not a spectacular photo and there are totally a bunch of cars in between me and Multnomah Falls, but it reminds me of the way the sun felt on my face that day and how at peace I felt with the sound of the water.
